An old friend buzzed me over YM asking me where she can buy authentic rare silver coins. At first, I didn't know she's getting married until she disclosed to me that she is going to be a June 2010 bride. I couldn't be happier for her knowing that the groom is also a long time friend of mine. When I suggested to her if she would rather have unique wedding coins, she insisted on having rare silver coins as this is going to be their ong investment as well. Being exposed to the wonders of internet, I asked her to seach for Monaco Rare Coins. I can't personally vouch for the company's services but based on the reviews that I read, the services is beyond excellence. We had a pretty good time discussing who her suppliers are and it made me reminisce the days when I was preparing my wedding. :)

His First Trick or Treat

On Friday, October 30, I wi bring TJ with me in the office. This is going to be his first trick or treat. I am pretty excited with this. I already have a sailor moon outfit. So now I am thinking of getting TJ either a naruto or Dragon Ball Z outfit. For sure, kabog ang mga mommies sa office. Hahahahaha! Really, I am so excited. If only hubby is here, I wil asked him to dress like Ichigo. :)

It's been more than a month since the last time I updated this blog. I won't give you anymore excuses that I am busy whatsoever. Let us just put it this way, katamaran to its highest level hit me. Add to that, the error in my HTML code is getting into my nerves. I am now tempted to change the lay out of this blog. Really. Another thing, and this is not an excuse ha- Typhoon Ondoy changed me emotionally and pyschologically. Though I was pissed off with the cancellation of my little one's first bday, I couldn't be grateful enough that all my loved ones are stil safe. I Love Weddings!

Once in my life, I worked as a part-time coordinator. Since the group where I belong was just starting back then, our charge fee was very minimal. But I enjoyed every second of it. I quit the job about 2 years ago. The last time I had the chance to talk to one of our team members, they are now doing destination weddings too. How exciting is that huh? I have attendend a beach wedding in Batangas (which, by the way I ohHh so love the mystique ocean view) and I would really love to do wedding coordination in a hotel like the Karisma Hotel or in Azul Blue in the Riviera Maya, the world’s first stress-free hotel. Aside from attending a wedding, it will be like vacation too. Ahhh! Need to unload those office-related stress!

Graduation is on Sunday and its already Friday- I still don't have any pictures. Wedding Coins

During our wedding, we didn't get those personalized arrhaes as our wedding coins. Instead, we had those shiny Singapore dollar coins. I really wanted to have coins from different countries but unfortunately, we only have U.S. Singapore and Japan coins.

We also welcomed the idea of getting rare coins. Unfortunately though, we didn't find any reliable resources. Had we known about Monaco Rare Coins, we would have gotten even just a few of it (since rare coins cost a lot too!) I don't know how trading of rare coins are being done but I would love to collect a few. But as I have said, finding a reliable resource as you try to conquer your quest of finding rare costs at the most reasonable price would be difficult. With that, I surely think that Monaco representative won't disappoint you in finding the best for you.

I am now in QC spending the week end with my folks. I was watching Today at NBC when I saw this clip. I am really amazed awith how God do his work that in some way, everyone will have something that will make him/her stand out. This video gave me goosebumps. Watch it and promise, you'll be amazed too!

I just hope that reality search talent shows here in the country will showcase talents of "nobody". I suggest that you search Youtube for the full version of BGT's episode that showcased the what they now call The Susan Boyle Fever.

It's been a while since the last time I posted something about Terrence. Bad mommy! But hey?! I haven't really updated this blog in a while now. While I get to spend a lot of time with my uberly adorable little brat, I just wish that he's not growing that fast. Ok, I am torn. I am glad that he's growing fast because that means that he'll be able to do things big boys can do and at the same time, it makes me sad too. Ang gulo ko ba? I know he's young (in fact, too young) but when ever I think of the time that someday, he's gonne leave me to start his own family, I feel really depressed. Anyway, I would just like to post some pictures. Baka anayin na naman ang draft na ito.

Today is my birthday and I am on leave from work today and tomorrow. Dang! I haven't finish a post draft I have been wanting to finish since last week. This year's natal day will be a 3-day celebration: my team from the office (yesterday), my family (today) and Russell's family (tomorrow). Wow, ang gastos. But heck! It's my birthday and it's not everyday that I get to treat the people dearest to me.

Initial plan for yesterday was to have a team lunch at Tiendesitas until I found out that Tiende is open only until 10pm. We can't have our lunch at that time yet since our shift starts at 8pm. We searched for Gerry's over the internet and we found out that their branch in Emerald Ortigas is open until 2am. To our dismay, Gerry's Emerald was already closed when we got there around midnight. With that, we were left with no other option but to go to the super affordable Yoohoo at Metrowalk. Ok na rin. Mura pa. PLUS, we were able to quench our thirst with 2 bottles of San Mig light. Hehehehe! Wow, buti na lang at walang nakahuli sa amin ng lasing pabalik sa office. If not, more beer buckets more chances of termination sana ang drama namin. Hehehehe.

Everyday, I would log in tom y multiply account to check for any inquiries and inquiries on my humble multiply store. I was about to log off from my account when a new PM popped into my inbox. I was really surprised to know from whom it came from. The PM says:

Wow! This one came from Ann. Wife of Juancho, the owner of Sensitivity. Sensitivity was my sound system supplier. But apart from being my sound system supplier, the couple has been a friend to me. They were my confidant especially during the last stretch of my wedding preparation where some of my suppliers gave me the headache of my life (LOL). When I called Ann, I was literally crying and she comforted me. The couple offered me the kind of package that no one could resist (and that’s for sure). They gave me super lotsa freebies and gave me valuable suggestions. I said valuable because unlike my other suppliers, they gave me practical suggestions (kung ano ung maas maganda at mas makakatipid ako). Hindi lang ung nag aatribida.

A lot of my friends commended on how the lightings and the drapes improved the over-all setting of my wedding venue. Clamshell tent doesn’t really look good in person and even during night time. I’ve been there twice before. But it looked like as if it was transformed into some kind of a new tent during our wedding. No, being biased aside, I really think that Clamshell looked really different on our wedding night. A lot of our guests even joked that when they took their pictures with all those different lights (especially the city lights), nagmukha daw silang performer sa ASAP. Grand production number lang?! LOL

I have been wanting to contact the couple for a bout a year now. And os they are. Para kaming pusa na ngahahanapan sa isat-isa. But since we’re both busy, we never really had the chance to talk/send SMS to each other (especially with the fact that I have lost 2 cell phones in just a year! Duh?!!)

But now that we are contacts of multiply, I can send them now something I’ve been longing to send them.

To Ann and Juancho, thank you so much for being a part of our wedding. You really gave me the best time of my life. I hope that your business grow even more. God Bless you!

Emo on Valentines Day and our On-Site Wedding Video

Last Friday while everyone is trying to complete their audit target for the day, I seriously asked my team members if they are experiencing land shakes at that very moment. When they said no, I blurted out "hello? valentine's day na kaya...andito tau sa pasig. di nyo nararamdaman ang payanig sa pasig?" Then everybody laughed. I thought that the "green moment" was over when one of my Palibhasa Lalake Boys (why I call them Palibhasa Lalake Boys deserves another entry) said, "naku, mamya marami na namang lupasay sa Pasay."

Seriously though, I am gonna be a hypocrite if I will say that I don't miss having Valentine's Day Celebrated. Last year, we had it celebrated not on F. 14 but on Feb. 16. Di ko na sana bet pang lumabas because I am already on my 2nd month of pregnancy back then pero since March 3 ang scheduled flight ni bebeh to U.S., sige na nga. I gave in. We just went to Tagaytay to have some nice dinner and coffee. Corny naman kasi kung pupunta ba kami ng bar in Manila knowing that I can't drink alcohol.

This year, despite of telling myself that I am not 'affected' anymore, I just can't contain it anymore. Hubby was even more disappointed because apparently, he purchased 2 dozens of roses from an online store to have it delivered in my apartment in Pasig. I was supposed to receive it as early as Feb. 12 but nada. Didn't receive anything. I don't want to add any more disappointment to him so I just told him that it's ok. Pero sa totoo lang, ngayong matanda na ko, ngayon ko naa-appreciate ang flowers. Mind you, during my early 20's kapag binigyan mo ko ng roses, ihahampas ko lang yan sa mukha mo.Honest. I am really not fond kasi of flowers. Mas mabuti pang bigyan mo ko ng Pompom cheeze curls at mga chichirya na madaming msg. LOLz.

At dahil wala akong roses, eto nagkasya na lang ako sa panonood ng on-site video namin during our wedding reception . OO, naging emotera na naman ang babeng laging tiwang. pagbigyan nyo na ko. minsan lang naman. saka ganyan talaga pag one year ng walang chorva... HAHAHAHA!

(note: wala pa yung final video. gazillion years kasi bago kami nakapili ng songs. hehehe. Looking at this video really makes me proud of Bim. talagang ang galing nya. he was able to this AVP even before the formal dinner started. In fairness, ang dami-dami na nyang client ngayon. I am just so proud of him. Why? Ako kasi ang first w@w client nya when I signed the contract way back May 2006 for our Dec. 2007 wedding. Hehehehe). I am posting this na rin to share it to my new team members.

Excited over 24

I was really delighted to know that my most favorite TV program, 24 has already started airing its season 7 presentation. No matter what people say about how unrealistic the scenarios in this TV show, every hour of this program really makes my heart beat like crazy. But no, I am not going to buy any DVD copy yet. I'll just wait until it finish its airing in the US so that I can grab myself a copy will all of the episodes in just one cd. I am not gonna download the episodes either in Bit Torrent as not to pre empt what is going to happen this season. I was surprised to know that Tony Almeida is still alive as he was deemed to be dead in Season 5. Buchanan and the funny-but-weird character Chloe are still there and I am really looking forward seeing them again. :)

Terrence started showing his "potential" of wanting to stand on his own during Christmas Eve. And that was 2 days before his 3rd month. When we had our monthly wellness-baby check up last week, his pedia was surprised and giddy seeing how bibo Terrence is. He coo-ed a lot. So daldal talaga.Napghahalatang mana sa ina. LOL Even with out the bumbo seat, he can now sit (with guidance of course).At 3 months and 2 weeks, he already weighed 7.7 kgs. That's the maximum ideal weight for 3 month old babies. Anything beyond that is considered overweight. Oh well, di naman ako nakikipag kumpetensya sa iba jan about the "patabaan" ng babies as long as I have one healthy and jolly baby. Anyway, here are few pictures taken about 1-2 weeks ago.

More Quick Updates

I still didn't go to work today. I still feel dizzy and I still feel throwing up every time I try to get up from bed. I am going to see a doctor na talaga tomorrow. For the longest time, I am in denial that nothing is wrong with me. Ewan ko ba. When we go out naman, I feel fine naman.

We paid a visit today at Terrence's pedia as my little one has this weird nipple condition. It's sore. As in really sore, for some reason. I am really worried so I decided to pay his pedia a visit a vweek before his scheduled 5-in-1 vaccination. Little one has gained a lot of weight. At 3 months, 2 weeks he is already 7.7 kgs which is actually the maximum weight for a 3-month old baby. Anything beyond that is considered overweight. Dyeta muna anak ha!

Anyway, I just want to have a quick run down of my what-nots last December.

December 20- Went to my friend/co-worker's wedding. Initially, I have begged off from attending this wedding since I got swollen eyes due to iritation. But when my dear friend Iris texted me that she feels 'harrased' over our friend's family, I came in to the rescue. I was not able to join them in their hotel preparation. I went straight ahead to St. Jude Parish (Malacanang) instead. As soonn I stepped out frm the cab, iris told me na "imbey" (imbyerna) na raw sya. As if naman kasing binayaran kami na mag coordinate ng wedding. I know we volunteer. Pero kelangan ba silang simangutan ni Marcus at paghanapan ng mga bagay na di naman sa kanila naka assign? errrr! Reception: I was in panick since the 2 emcee that Ryan has dedicated to lead the reception program hasn't arrived yet. The guests have been waiting for 20 mins na and I couldn't afford to see their faces impatiently waiting for the program to start. Worst case came. I emceed the program! Damn! I was not properly dressed (since I know that I am just going to coordinate the wedding, I didn't plan to wear dress.). Kamusta talaga. But half way the program naman, the emcees came and I was off from hosting the program. Whatta relief. It was a very intimate yet memorable wedding. And despite the 'relatives situation' I still think that Ryan and Marie are just one of the many couples I admire. :)

December 21- Family just attended the mass in Our lady of Lourdes in Tagaytay (again). We had our dinner at Dencios. No Pictures to share for this one.

December 22- It is our first wedding anniversary. Too bad though that Russell was not here. Initially, we intended to eat at Dad's buffet in Glorietta. But due to the traffic condition at Coastal Mall, we found ourselves strolling around ATC. We never thought that ATC no longer has Dad's. But since we're already there, we just looked for a decent restaurant to eat. And so we dined it at TGI Friday's. It's quite pricey compared to Dad's (I could have save twice as much, if we're just going to eat at Dad's.) But we enjoyed our everything in our meal, especially the half slab baby back ribs and the mozarella cheese. No pictures of our Dec. 21 and Dec. 23 dining out as Gerlie's digi cam was stolen in her looker (Damn you Teletech Bacoor!)

December 23- It was my nephew's 7th Birthday. I can tell that he has a grand time on his birthday. My sister decided to hold it at Neoplolitan's Casa Milan in Fairview. They had rented the pool side. The ballon decorations were great. Food was awesome. The cotillion de honor number was also great. Every kid I saw there were dressed up, like adults. They really look awesome on their gowns and their suits/tuxedos. Pictures to follow.

December 24- I thought I am going to work on this day (this is how call center people deal with holidays) but thank God. We were not required to come in to work. family attended the 10:00 mass in Noveleta. We had our noche buena and my ear bled (LOL) from the karaoke session that my bilas and hipags had.

December 25- I (talagang ako!) had a great time doing the pamamasko for Terrence. Heh! Actually, I was really shy as Princess tagged me along doing the house-to-house. Kasi naman, ni hindi pa nga nakakapaglakd si Terrence eh namamasko na. But anyway, Terrence was soooOoo jolly to the people that we visited that he was able to get more than P4,00 from his pamamasko. Yoohoo!!! I worked at this night though. Got no qualms about it. All activities are done and it's double pay pa. After all, Russell is not here. So no fuss about it.Yey!

December 26- Another working day for us. My team had team xmas party. It was not as fun as last year though since half of my team members are barely new to the team. We're still at the getting-to-know-each-other stage. Nevertheless, we still had a great time. :)

December 29 and 30- Regular work days for us. Petiks time and we're getting holiday premiums. But had Russell has been here, I wouldn't go to work. Heck.

December 31, January 1- Went to farmer's market to do some last minute seafood shopping. Since we went to market early, we wet home early as well. We had a great new year's eve celebration. Read my post about that here.

January 2- I still went to work as my reliable assistant, James, went to a 10-day vacation in Catanduanes. It's about time that he gets a break. He has been so 'haggard' ever since I went on maternity leave.

So there... That's my not so quick update. :)

Electronic Loot

I still have to post some entires on he online shopping spree that we had for the last holiday season. We didn't but those expensive items but what we hve purchased are enough to cover our needs.

It was early November my my good old Compaq Presario lap top gave up on me. It wouldn't just boot properly and the screen would just turn into white. I know that something is wrong with its motherboard but I didn't opt to have it fixed anymore since it already has dead pixels as well. Hubby and I were talking about it over the phone when he said that he's gonna buy me a lap top next month. Meaning, by end of December. His balikbayan boxes will be shipped and will be received only on February 2009. So what the heck. I will have nothing to use for 3 darn months! So the day after we talked, I went to Cyberzon SM North Edsa to look for a reasonable priced lap top. I am really not that techy but at least I know what specs I really need and I still know some intermediate troubleshooting (thanks for being a Dell sales person for a year! LOL).After so much contemplation, I finally got myself a Compaq Presario CQ40.It came with a free HP carrying bag and a 2 GB flash drive and came with a licensed OS W Vista. Read its specifications here.

When I arrived home, I immediately asked hubby to go online. He was surprised and asked me how did I get to managed to go online when I don't have any laptop to use (bro is using his own for work purposes). I told him I lready bought one coz I can't wait for his. To his dismay, he spilled the beans. Turns out, he bought me a MacBook. Bummer! BUT... hey! I am really not a MAC person. Yeah I know, Apple is a good brand and it looks sosyal to use. But for a practical reason, I like PC more than MAC. First one, I don't know how the OS of MAC works. If I am unlucky and I need to reformat the hard drive and install its OS, I am really a mac-challenged. two, if ever I experince problems with Mac, I don't want to go to a service service for a simple problem nd pay a hefty amount for it. Yeah I know that macs come with a one-year warranty. But what about the year after that?

Needless to say, I opted to hve my Presario than his MAC. He already got a notebook of his own and he doesn't need a spre one. He's just gonna sell it daw. Fine. Lesson learned: Ask first before buying anything. LOL

During the Black Friday Sale, hubby bought a (another affordable stuff) 10MP point and shoot camera. Less than $100 lang! hehehehe! It was a dismay that the DSLRs were not even sold at discounted price. I am eyeing pa amann for a Canon XSi. hayYyyY..di bale.. sa March na lang. He also bought his mom and blue ray player. Tamang-tama because they already have a Series 6 Samsung LCD TV. Sana lang ako din binilhan. LOL

Back Track No. 3 : HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It is only now that I got the chance to go online. Dec. 31st was a pretty exhausting day for me (I guess, like everybody had).

For this year, we decided to shine away from the usual pasta and lechon all-time fave. We want to have seafood delight this time. At 6am, I found myself making tawad to some vendors of Farmer's Market. Good thing that my two good friends were with me, Avhen and Josh. Otherwise, it's gonna be hell for me carrying all those plastic bags. My brother was yet to arrive that time as he will come along with my mom from Novaliches. Nakakaloka tlaga how prices go up during last minute shopping/marketing. Usually, a kilo of blue marlin will only cost you around P280-P300. I have a suki in farmer's market and when I told him.. "manong, last week ganito ba price nito?" he just smiled. Hmmmm... alam mo na ibig sabihin nun! I got my share of blue marlin for P350/kilo. A kilo of big sized prawns is usually for P500, it was at P600-650 yesterday. Halos ganun din ang price ng crabs. Naloka talaga ako sa taas ng price. Good thing that I already anticipated how price will change during this time of the year. Ang matindi, ung isang plastic ng kikiam (for the pancit) cost me P95! It was just a small bag with 25 pcs in it (I think!). It was around 6:30am when my mom and bro arrived in the area. I had to say goodbye to my two friends as they also got some errands to do. I managed to buy everything that I need because I already have a list and I hardly haggle naman talaga because I want to be home early. I need to rest to recharge my energy for today's activity.

I slept at around 10am and woke up around 5pm. Immediately, me and my helper started to work around the kitchen. We were supposed to have grilled blue marlin kaso marami na kaming grilled items so we just decided to serve it as sashimi. Luckily, we were able to finish everything by 10pm. Mind you, it was ALL ON ME. Madalang pa sa kabilugan ako ng buwan magluto but since its new year today, bawal ang maging tamad. LOL We just waited for the count down. This new year's celebration is pretty significant as this is Terrence's first new year. Yey! Nagulat lang si baby ng magtorot kami ni mama inside the house. Hehehehe. I still can't find the time to post my entries for the past two weeks.Di pa kasi tapos yung draft. Siguro on Dec. 31st, I'll have all the time in the world to blog. This is an uberrrr late update but hey! Better late than never.. (corniks!)..anyhooo... I just wanna share what has transpired on this day.

December 14- Transcom's Christmas Party

If not for the performance of my good friends in the office (and by the way, mga NONG-NANG din sila ni Terrence), I will not attend this year's company Christmas Party. Prior to attending the event, I was with the Hernandez Clan as we visited Antipolo Church. Pa-bless ng new honda civic ni Ate Cheche and the 2009 Innova of Ninang Glo. This year's theme was back-to-school theme (booo!) but I think it became more of a Broadway theme as different departments showcased their Talents. Ours was a two part presentation. First one was the Moulin Rouge and the "main" presentation of Dream Gays.. errrr I mean Dream Girls. The Christmas party was just held at the company building's roofdeck (suck bigtime, I know!) pero ok naman miski papano. Mas at home eh. LOL

It was a performance of standing ovation. Even the expats were amazed with how my good friends were able to deliver the presentation so well. After the presentation, the gays were like instant celebrities. Here, there, and everywhere. Apart from that, "we" won a hefty amount of money- enough to treat the entire QA team.I just love 'em. Love the costume, the sementong (LOL) make up, the glamourous moves, the padding (?) on the hips- everything! I guess many of those who have seen the live performance also did. Anyhoo, here are some pictures taken during the event.

Darn it! Tax deductions is killing me. It's hard when you get deductions of at least P4000 every payday. It's P8k a month! Leche. Sweldo na ng isang pahinante yun sa isang buwan. pang gatas na rin sana ni baby for 1 month. Yung 13th month pay naman, despite of the fact that I went on maternity leave for 2 months, may tax pa rin (kasi nga 30k and above eh deductible ng tax)

I just don't see where my taxes go. The service I am getting from civil servant is not just worth it!

I just got hubby's package thru LBC today. This is not the huge balikbayan box (and this one is such a bummer for being uber late!) but the suit that he bought for our little one's baptism next month. As excited mommy that I am, sinukat ko na kagad sa bornakis kow. LOL I soOoOOo love his outfit especially his leather shoes. One would think that it as custom made. But the truth is, it is not. Everything in his outfit are ready-to-wear items.

We are in QC right now...

Baptismal is set on December 13. I just have to confirm the time yet. Invites are ready for printing. Ninongs and ninangs have already been informed. Caterer has been booked. I opted not to get an event stylist anymore since we're just going to have the reception at my in-laws' house in Cavite. Bawi na lang sa first birthday si TJ since his dad is going to be home by that time. Hubby just sent the outfit that baby is going to wear for the occasion through LBC. It is expected to arrive sometime next week.

We opted not to have the usual long gown.

I, on the other hand is busy looking for a cake/souvenir supplier. Yeah. We're gonna have a cake/souvenir just like what we had during our wedding. Nagtitipid eh. I was supposed to book a supplier who is cavite-based but since it's taking her a long-time before she replies to my emails, I decided not to book her anymore. Anyway, I was able to find another supplier through the recommendation of another n@wie. Her cupcakes really look appealing. I hope that it's delicious too.

It's been a while since the last time I updated this blog. Actually, I am going to close this blog real soon. I guess I'm just tired of cross posting. Besides, I can only (efficiently) manage two blogs. That should be enough. Anyway...

Usually, I would greet everyone a HAPPY CHRISTMAS as soon as September 1 sets in. But it's a different mood for this year. Though I have Terrence with me, something is missing. Or should I say, I AM MISSING SOMEBODY.

A couple of months back, hubby and I talked about Terrence's education. We are trapped between the idea of sending him to a Philippine school vs. US school. Sending a child to a private school in US can be costly. So inspite of the fact that we will be living there for a long time, we are now open to the idea of sending Terrence to a private school here. Hubby wants Terrence to go to DLSU-Taft. I wanted him to ender UPD (kung papasa sa UPCAT!). It was a discussion. But I guess we ended up with the idea of sending him to AdMU from pre-school to college (para may loyalty award! LOL)

Two weeks ago, I purchased 3 pcs of onesies in one of those multiply stores. The cloth that was used was soft. Tamang-tama sa feel ng mga baby. And oh, the prices of the onesies/shirst are reasonable too so You might want to give the site a visit. Anyway, I got the merchandise now. As excited as I am, I tried to put them on to Terrence immediately. Here are his pictures.

I have changed a lot- shopping wise, at least. Before I shop something for myself, I make it a point that I have some items on the loot for my little peanut first. Actually the items in my shopping cart on Old Navy and Gap are all for Terrence. Nakakatuwa kasi tignan. I hope that our next baby will be a girl. Para may inaayusan at nabibihisan akong parang Barbie. :)

No. I am not mad with anyone. It's just me talking about my son. While his lolo and lola call him "pogi" or "tisoy" ('coz he got golden brown hair and eye browse), I call him "patay-gutom", with a smile on my face of course. At 5 weeks, Terrence now weighs 11.22 lbs (that is 5.1 kilos). I found this out since we went to the hospital today because the little brat has cough and colds (Side Story: The attending physician asked me if I have my baby's hair colored. Hellar? 5 weeks pa lang kaya ang anak ko noh! pwede ba?!) I was only able to breastfed Baby for only 3 weeks. After that, my manual breast pump just broke. And there was milk no more. Oh well, I will just try breastfeeding again on our next baby (hmmm..5 years from now?!) Heniwey highway, going back to Terrence: At his age, I should only be feeding him 4 oz of milk ever 4 hours. But what happens is that, he would consume 5 oz in just 3 hours. I tried fooling him by giving him water after his formula milk but no. Little peanut already knows the difference between water and formula milk. As much as I want to follow the hours and amount of formula milk intake, I just can't. Aatungal ang anak ko sa iyak. Hindi na rin umuubra ang pacifier. There are times that I tried ignoring him but he would just cry out loud that his face would turn into violet. At matatawa ka sa reaction nya kapag nabigyan mo sya ng gatas. Parang crocodile na hinagasan ng chicken meat. Kita naman sa picture nya di ba? hehehehe

Anyway, Princess (my sister-in-law) went to Cavite this week end to celebrate all saints day with us. I wasn't feeling well and my eyes were too heavy that I didn't realize that she actually came to our room to say "Hi" to me. Kaya ayun, nagkuhaan na lang sila ng picture sa sala (cam whores!) na hindi pa maayos kasi nire-renovate pa. Too bad though that Terrence and I were not able to visit the cemetery since the kiddo is sick. Based from their pictures, they had fun "visiting" Nanay Pene.

We attended Sunday mass today (as usual) at Our Lady of Lourdes in Tagaytay. Afterwhich, we headed to Dencio's to have our dinner. Thank God that Terrence was not that cranky all the time we were eating. Nakalamon tuloy ako ng maayos. Maraming gud luck sa pagpapayat! LOL

September 27- The Time of My Life

Sa dami ng gus2 kong ikwento, I no longer know how to start this post. Nag uunahan lahat ng ideas and memories sa utak ko. So please bear with me if this post is too sabog to be understood. LOL Let me consult my organizer for the series of events that happened to me a week before I gave birth (yes, I am kept an organizer instead of diary/blog for this chapter of my life. I want it to be private muna kasi. And now it’s time to share it with my dear friends…)

September 15- I had my weekly check up with my OB and from there, I found out that Baby T already weighed 6.8 lbs at 38 weeks. At that moment, my Cavite-based OB advised me to have a pelvicmetry x-ray. This is to ensure that my pelvic bone is able to deliver a 6.8 pound-er baby. I went to St. Martin Clinic (also in Cavite) and had my x-ray done right away. Though I am pretty confident na ok naman ang measurement ng “sipit-sipitan” ko, I already had this hunch that my OB wanted to have a caesarian section delivery. Hmm…fishy-fishy. (side note: My OB is hubby’s family OB. When my sister-in-law delivered her baby girl, she went under c-section. Nung una, nagtyaga sila na mai-normal sana ang delivery. But upon meeting kung sino ang nanay ni sister-in-law, nag suggest na mag CS since kayang-kaya naman daw ng budget. BWISET! As if naming byenan ko ang magbabayad ng hospital bill. Sister-in-law gave birth in a private hospital sa Cavite kaya “nakuryente” ako sa total bill na uber sa mahal ang. OO nga, CS ang delivery pro dapat provincial rate ang charge..tumatahinting na P80k lang naman. Oh di ba, parang Manila rate!) Anyway, a lot of people are saying na mataas pa daw ag tyan ko. Kaya ayun, kami ni Mike and Avhen, walk-athon lagi ang drama after shift. Tipid na sa pamasahe, exercise pa at higit sa lahat nakakapag chismisan pa kami about office stuff. Hehehehehe!

September 22- Another weekly check up. I am already on my 39^th week. This time, baby already weighed 7lbs. When my OB showed me the result of my pelvicmetry xray, I already knew that she’s gonna suggest that I have a CS delivery even before she started discussing the specifics of the xray. Ang totoo nyan, hindi na ako interested sa mga sinasabi nya the moment na sinabi nyang I have to undergo CS delivery. Ah ewan, basta nagpanting na tenga ko. I insisted on saying na I want to have a normal delivery. Siguro she sensed that I am very firm on having normal delivery so what she told me was she will give me until my expected due date (EDD) which is September 29 to have spontaneous labor, otherwise, CS na talaga. When I asked her kung pwede bang I-induce labor na lang, she said that she doesn’t induce labor kapag may pelvimetry disproportion. Hellar! As if ang laki ng discrep sa measurement ng pelvic bone ko. Average ang size ng “sipit-sipitan” ko and at that time, I strongly believed na kaya kong mag luwal ng 6.8 lbs na bata. I just told her na maghihintay na lang ako hanggang EDD ko. If by that time, walang spontaneous labor eh di go na sa CS. By the way, there wasn’t any IE made on my cervix. Kaya hindi ko alam ko ripe na ba sya for delivery or not. HmmfftTtt!!!

September 23- Supposedly, this is my last day in the office. Kaso with the news that I got, I thought na mas ok ng magwork muna ko. I’m getting impatient na talaga. Ang rason ko, kung maabutan man ako sa office, isang sneeze lang ang Medical City from the office, saka anjan namann si Daddy James eh. Hehehe. Talagang mababaliw ako sa kakahintay kung kelan lalabas ang anak ko. I planned to pay Edsa Shrine a visit on this day kaso umulan naman. I was determined pa rin sana to go to church but Mark and Josh insisted that I should just go home and rest. So I ended up going home na lang. But I promised myself na magsisimba ako the following day.

September 24- I woke up on this day with tolerable pain in my groin area. Since it’s tolerable, I just ignored it. While at work, I suddenly felt this feeling in my abdomen. Feeling ko natatae ko but when I went to the bathroom, wala naman. I emailed Janet about what I felt and she was very thoughtful naman to check on me. I thought yun na yung “this is it” moment pero false alarm naman. This time, naalala ko that Aian, Jaids and Jerks are devotees of St. Jude. (Malacanang) so I invited myself (LOL) to join them. Right after our shift, we headed to St. Jude Thaddeus parish na. During the mass, I can’t help but cried, asking for St. Jude’s help na sana, maipanganak ko si baby through normal delivery. I made a pact with him, if I am going to deliver my baby through normal section I’ll name baby after him. He shall be named Terrence Jude instead of Terrence Russell. When the mass ended, hinabol ko pa yung lay minister para masabuyan ako ng holy water. Hindi na nga ako nahabol ni Jerks sa sobrang bilis ko daw. LOL We had a good time eating chicken balls sa katabing tindahan ng parish. Ryan and his fiancée fetched me hangang Mendiola. Commute lang ako ng G-Liner hanggang Rosario, Pasig. I wqas able to take a nap hanggang Robinsons area. Nakarating ako sa apartment ng 10am. I instantly dozed off. Napagod eh.

September 25- This is my last day na talaga sa office. I have already transitioned everything to my ever reliable assistant, Becky. All coaching sessions were done. All systems go na talaga for me to leave. After our shift (which is actually SEPTEMBER 26 na kasi graveyard shift kami eh)I invited few friends for an early breakfast pero may ilang nag beg off. Nag iinarte eh.. as if naman! (u know who you are people…LOL). After the breakfast, nagpunta ako ng Our Lady of REMEDIES Parish a.k.a. Malate Church. This is also the same church where hubby and I got married. Again, commute lang ako. Mag isa lang ako commute. Not even Russell knew na nagpunta me ng Malate Church kasi for sure, mapapagalitan ako nun. I took the stairs of MRT miski may escalator naman. By the time I arrived sa church,saktong pasimula na lang ang mass. When the mass ended, nagmano ako sa officiating priest. He asked me kelan me due, sabi ko sa this Sunday na po. He smiled at me, put his hand on my head and blessed me. At this instant, naiyak na ko. Talagang desperate na ko na mag normal delivery kasi ayoko talaga ng c-section. But when I got out of the church, nagsisimula na kong I-embrace ung idea na mag c-section ako if it’s the only way I could have a safe delivery. I went straight ahead to my folk’s house in QC. Bandang mga 2am, nag aya akong magpunta sa SM Fairview. Maglakad-lakad at bumili ng damit na pang ospital. Naalala ko na wala pa pala akong damit na nakahanda for hospital. We had our dinner at Gerry’s Grill. The moment I sat down sa table, nakaramdam me ng pagod.We arrived home mga 8pm na siguro. I was feeling well naman when we arrived. I just got too tired lang siguro kaya nakatulog kagad ako the moment na nahiga ako sa bed.

September 27, 12:30am- Nagising ako ng bigla kong na-feel na parang may discharge sa undies ko. Instantly, kinabahan na ko. At this point, I told myself “this is it! This is really it!” And I was right. When I checked my undies sa CR, there was a significant amount of blood na. And continuous na ung flow. Ginising ko kagad si Mama and my brother para itakbo na ko sa Bernardino Hospital. Yun kasi ung pinakamalapit na private hospital sa area namin. Hindi na ko nagpadala sa Cavite at baka sa daan pa ko maabutan.Anyhoo, si Papa ko naman nataranta. He intended to change his shorts. But he ended up rushing to our gate ng naka brief lang. LOLz ano ba yan! Pagpasenciahan nyo na. Tao lang at 78 years old na si Papa. So there, balik na naman si Papa sa room palit ng shorts. Hahahahaha! At 12:45am, nasa hospital na kami. Nakakaloka kasi hindi namalayan na butas pala ang kili-kili ng t-shirt ko (kamusta naman yun..uber taranta na!). Si mama ko naman eh naka duster lang. We were really unprepared for this event. Lahat ng gamit ni Baby at mga important papers for hospital eh nasa Cavite.(I called my in-laws saying na nagbleed ako and they need to rush na in Quezon City) In fact, ang baby bag eh nasa likod lang ng sasakyan ng in-laws ko para anytime na abutan me sa Cavite eh on the go na ako. Buti na lang may dala me lagi na digicam sa bag ko (to my dismay, nasira pala ang LCD ng camera ko so ang ending, wala kaming kuha na baby pics sa hospital). We rushed to the ER na where I was welcomed by a cutie-korean-looking doctor (oo, kamukha nya ung isang bidang daddy sa koreanovela na 3 daddys with one mommy). Dyahe lang when he did an IE on me na (eto ung sinusukat kung gano kabuki na ang vagina…potah kumekerengkeng pa talaga noh!). He said that I am 3 cm dilated na. To be fully dilated, kelangan ko na mag 9 or 10cm. I was informed by anurse na lalaki lang daw ang vailable na OB GYN at kung ok lang ba yun sa akin. Eh mag iinarte pa ba ako eh mapapaanak na ko? Sabi ko, ok lang ang important mapaanak ako ng maayos. Just before I was about to go to the Labor room, I was surprised to hear Papa nagpapa BP. Turned out tumaas ang BP nya. Nabigla siguro nung sinugod ako sa hospital. His BP zoomed in to 240/180. At this point, hindi ko muna inisip ang sarili ko. Naisip ko si Papa. So before I went to labor room, I told him to relax because I am going to be fine. Too bad though na hindi ko nakuha cellphone ko. Eh pwede naman pala sa labor room ang cellphone. Hindi ko tuloy naa-update sina Mama and Papa ko kung ano na developments ko. At around 3am, the nurse who was taking care of me informed me that my in-laws are already in the waiting area. Around 6am, I was already 7cm dilated na. Si nurse, may nilagay dun sa dextrose ko. Pampahilab yata kasi after nun, I can feel the pain of “hilab” with 2 minutes interval. Pero tolerable naman. Around 7am, hindi ko na kinaya ung pain so I told nurse about it. After 10 minutes, dinala na ko sa delivery room. This is the first time na na-ospital ako so the sight of an operating room really scared me. Inisip ko na lang na ang doctor ko eh sing-gwapo ng doctor bida sa NIP/TUCK. (LOL) But I was wrong (again!). The OB that was assigned to me was an old doctor. Siguro nasa 60s na pero gwapo mestizo. Feeling ko chickboy yung doc na yun during his tender years. Hehehehehe! Anyhoo, he did an IE on me again and from there, fully dilated na nga daw ako so pwede na. He instructed me how to do the “ire” thing. After the coaching session nagstart na naman humilab tyan ko. As instructed, kapag naramadaman ang hilab ng tyan, sabayan ng ire. So tthat’s what I did. Or so I thought. Turned out, mali ang ire ko. Galing daw kasi sa leeg ang ire. Dapat daw sa pwet. Naman! Pano kaya umire ang leeg!? Yun pala, kada ire ko, halis magkulay blue na daw ang mukha ko at ang leeg ko eh mababali na raw pero ang pwet ko, niko-contract ko daw. Mali nga. After an hour of trying, I already told my OB na i-CS na lang ako to which the doctor said, “Hindi, kaya mo I-normal ito. Galingan mo lang umire. Mas mahirap ang ma-CS ineng.Ayusin mo pag ire para makita mo na baby mo” Oh di ba? Hindi mukhang pera..kung ibang doctor lang ito, right away, isi-CS na ko. I have thought of undergoing CS procedure kasi masakit na talaga Much worse, ang sakit kaya ng binubulatlat ang “kipay” from time to time, lalo na at lalaki ang OB GYN ko. Besides, feeling ko nagkaroon na ako ng almoranas (hemorrhoid) sa kaka-ire.

Anyhoo, there were 5 nurses around the delivery room. Yung isang nurse, tinutulungan na ko magpush- dinadagan nya ang tummy (not the tummy itself but yung lower part ng breast) para lumabas na si baby. But it was good for nothing. Mga bandang 9am (yes, I still remember the time periods kasi may clock naman sa loob ng delivery room), nagpatawag na ng male nurse. Mas malakas kasi ang pwersa ng male nurse sa pagdagan sa akin.

Hilab ng tyan. PUSH! Konti pa raw sabi ni Doc. Hre comes another hilab so I took a deep breath and pushed again. Ayaw pa rin! It took mga 3 minutes bago humilab ulet bago humilab tyan ko. The moment na naramdaman ko na “paparating” na ang hilab, I told the nurse about it, dinaganan ulet ung tyan ko ng male nurse at saka ako umire ng ubod ng lakas at haba (mga 10 seconds siguro ako na-ire) and presto! BABY BOUT OUT at 9:15 am! (6.8 lbs, 51 cm. in length)

Lutang na lutang, as in high na high ako after ko maramdaman na may malaking tae, ahhhhemm TAO pala na lumabas from me. Gumaan din ng bongga ang feeling ng tyan ko. Sobrang sayang lang talaga at nasira ang digicam ko. Wala tuloy akong souvenir ni baby sa delivery room.*Sob Sob

Since I gave birth through normal delivery delivery, Baby boy was name Terrence Jude instead of Terrence Russell. Thanks to St. Jude and to Virgin Mary!

How My Life Has Changed

People around me know that I am a very dynamic person and I get easily bored. It has been 2 weeks since I gave birth. I am living in my in-laws house for the entire duration of my maternity leave. Mas ok na ditto. Mas marami ang mag aalaga sa amin ni baby at anytime eh may matatawag kaming tao 24/7 just in case we need something. Mom has been with me for 2 weeks now. Sya ang nag-aalaga kay Terrence habang nagre-recuperate ang stitches ko. I am starting to hate the maternity pads. Makapal kasi. Pero mas ok na ito kesa sa usual sanitary napkin.

As of now, I can move around na. Pag nakikita kong hirap na si Mama sa pagkarga kay Terrence, ako na relyebo nya. Every two hours, nagigising si Baby. Palid ng diaper, papa-dede or minsan, gus2 lang masatisfy ang bisyo nya- KARGA. Lolz Being awake during the wee hours in the morning isn’t that hard naman for since I am a call center worker. Walang mashadong adjustment kumabaga.

Looking back at those 9 months of my journey to motherhood, I should say that it was all worth it. As I have posted before, I am now into selling some PX items (good thing since I am going to be on a 2-month maternity leave). I started the business with few team members who purchased Victoria's secret and Old Navy items. Now my market seems to be growing as I have just established my online store through the multiply account.

Yesterday, hubby sent me pictures of the goods he received, which I purchased about a week ago. Actually madami pang kulang. Wala pa yung bulk orders from Victoria's Secret and Old Navy. Few perfumes have not yet arrived din. Pero seeing the items I have ordered arrived, mejo nakakatuwa. I know na magiging busy-busyhan ako in my entire maternity leave since aside from taking care of Terrence, I'll do some paid posts pa rin from time to time.

Yesterday, bro texted me asking how much does a 100 ml Bulgari BLV for men costs. I told him it's for P2,200. He was surprised to know that since malls (Trinoma ,SM department stores and other malls) sell the same item for a whoOooping P4,000++ . Victoria's Secret Products (lotions and mist) are being sold for P600+ each while I sell it for only P450 (may discount pa if bought in 3). A lot of my friends are asking why my merchandise are being sold cheaper than malls and other multiply sellers, I say it upfront that I do not impose 100% mark. Only 25%. Intsik eh. I am not sure if my sister-in-law will pursue her master's degree in University of San Francisco but I got curious over University of Bedfordshire - Clearing 2008. I am not really sure how this thing goes and I don't have a single idea how this can drive students to go onto our courses via the Clearing process. It must be exciting for those soon-to-graduate high school students. One of Shark's episodes showcased how Stanford and Harvard University conduct their "welcome" party for high school seniors. My brother in-law is fond of playing pachinko (like a slot machine) and other casino games. I guess that's what one gets if you are living just a few kilometers away from the casino area. Absenteeism in my team has taken its toll on me. It seems that nothing works for those people who do not appreciate that I am extending to them. Instead of being grateful some of them seem to just ask for more as if I owe them big time. Inggrata!

I have bent the rules- even it means costing my job. That’s why it makes me even more frustrated when I could not count on the same people during critical times.

Today, for the first time in 3 years, I have denied a vacation request. I guess I just have to learn how to say "NO" on some requests especially to those people who doesn’t reciprocate the extra effort I am extending them. I am afraid I now have to be a "by-the book-supervisor" even if it means terminating people. No more bending over backwards for me. These people just have to learn.

This picture was taken about a year and a half ago. I'm the one in pink long sleeves. All other people that are in this picture are my former QASs. We are supposed tobe in transition to another line of business when this picture was taken. They are all in the supervisory position just like me. One of them even became a manager. And I am really proud of them. They have gone a long way.

I miss those days. Days when I would always look forward to come to work. I feel no stress and pressure and it's just like going to high school.

Events and Caterers

One co-member in one of my yahoo support groups had his son’s part in Pasadena. It was just a simple party but based from the pictures I have seen, I should say that kids really did have a nice time during the party.

One of Russell’s college friends is set to have her wedding this October in Laguna, California. I thought they are going to have their wedding in Arizona and experience an Arizona wedding catering event. Weddings, weddings, weddings. I love weddings! The occasion just makes me look back during those times when I was preparing my wedding. Though the scouting for suppliers especially on caterers can be pretty tiring, getting to taste the sumptuous food and seeing the elegant reception designs can really make one’s day. Well aside from researching local caterers, I also searched for caterer internationally like Arizona catering in the hope that I can get ideas on how western caterers do their events. I have seen quite a number of photos of New York and California caterers and I am really impressed with their classy way of holding an event, be it corporate or a wedding occasion. OI still have a photo of one of those Phoenix Arizona catering services where the theme of the party was renaissance. The set-up was just awesome.

Be it wedding, christening or a child’s party, holding an event anywhere in the US can be costly. That is why getting the most affordable yet quality caterer is really important. Food is just the life of the party. hehehehehe

Losing Weight from Pregnancy

I am now on my 30th week. In my more than 7 months of pregnancy I think I have already gained more than 6 kilos. When I was still single, I didn’t have much problem about gaining/losing weight. My body has been cooperative with me. LOL But I am afraid that it will be a different thing now. According to some medical articles and journals that I have read, women tend to retain 3 kilos of weight they have gained during pregnancy. I know one of hubby’s cousins who is using a herbal tea from Singapore and I can see results of her losing weight. As there are countless of diet pills being sold over the counter, I am no longer sure which ones are safe and which are not. Of course, I would still prefer losing weight the natural way like keeping a proper diet and continuous exercise. I learned from one of my yahoogroups as well that breastfeeding can really make you lose weight.

Hubby's package has already arrived. Nakakaloka lang ang dami ng diapers. He bought two boxes (243 pcs/box) kasi of new born diapers. I'm trying to calculate kung ilang diapers kaya ang mauubos in 3 months. Kasi up to 3 months naman ang category ng newborn di ba? Feeling ko sobra-sobra yung diapers. Hubby shipped two huge (specially made) boxes where the rims for their new 4WD car can fit. Tapos sinaksakan na lang nila ng kung anu-anong items. Grabe ang galing magbagahe. Parang pwedeng pagkasyahin family of 5 people. LOL

Anyway Daddy Russ really bought a lot of baby stuff. Cute-cute ng onesies and foot rattle. I really like the Mittens and stroller na nga lang yata ang kulang. Actually, I have no idea kung ano pa mga kulang. It's gonna be my Mama Luvie who will be those remaining stuff. Pero ako na ang bibili ng stroller. Ung Chicco sterilizer, bibigay na lang daw ni ate. Sayang din yun. Megamall has a mid-year clearance sale this week. I no longer plan to buy a crib since most of n@wies members say that it's not that practical to buy one. Bibili na lang me ng Uratex foam good for 4 people para pede makagapang si baby saka para sa child proofing ng room ko sa apartment.

As you graduate from an undergraduate program, you have already made significant strides for movement towards your professional career and interests. As you continue throughout life, there are still many other choices to make, including whether or not you should attend graduate or professional school. Only you can decide what additional investments you wish to make and what you wish to get out of your education. Some answers come naturally depending on the career goals you wish to pursue. In other words, some career fields or job opportunities “require” or is a prerequisite for you to pursue advanced studies and obtain a graduate degree. Other careers, however, do not always “require” an advanced degree. You are the only one who can answer what you wish to do and how you want to invest your time and money, especially if you have an interest in career advancement or personal satisfaction.
As you begin your decision-making it will become necessary for you to analyze your motives towards consideration of advanced studies. In addition, it will become important for you to do a thorough self-assessment of your interests, strengths, weaknesses, and goals, as well as spending time researching graduate programs that interest you and that will help you move towards your goals.
In my field, though experience really counts, having a MBA degree will really make your resume look good. Had I not marry at an early age, I would have pursued either a law degree or a MBA. Math is really my cup of coffee but I enjoy analyzing business statistics. But I have thought of so many things that prevented me from pursuing the course. But my sister-in-law decided to follow her dreams.

Before my sister-in-law graduated her BS Biology course, she was dead set on taking medicine. But dues to financial reason, she has to resort to taking a master's degree instead in the University of San Francisco. She's a smart girl. She knows that having a graduate studies degree will help her land a better job. She has browsed quite a lot of websites pertaining to graduate career advice & information. And I really think that these websites will help her career.

Condotel Gardens

I used to work in Ambergis (now Telus) whose main office is located in Discovery Suites fronting Podium. Back in 2003, the garden a.k.a. smoking area was open to public. I have only been to 2 call centers and so far, the other offices I have been to aren't located in any garden buildings unlike Telus'. My current company now leases a land together with the Ortigas Group of companies. We are now situated in Tiendesitas in Frontera Verde, Pasig. Our building is a 5-storey building. The first floor has some tenants like banks, convenience store and coffee shops. We have a roof deck that we consider as our “lung center” where smoker would gather for a short cigarette break. Unlike with Ambergris, our roof deck is just a plain roof deck. No gardens what so ever.

It would have been nicer to work in one of those garden buildings. much more a garden office. I tried searching the net and here is what I found out about garden offices. Why garden offices? Because I am thinking that 3 years from now, I am going to own a business that I can call “mine”

'Office' implies a single use for these multi-functional buildings, but the warm, clean environment makes an ideal games room, hobby room, craft workshop or up-market summerhouse!
Working from home, however, is becoming increasingly popular for several reasons:

I got addicted to these lines as I followed the NIP/TUCK series. I am not really into medical-related drama but this series just got me hooked. It’s all about plastic surgeons and how they change lives though changing the things that people want to enhance on themselves. I would also want to get give credit to Julian Mcmahon who exudes sexiness. I just love the butt exposures! LOL I just finished its 3rd season and I am now looking forward of seeing the 4th season. This medical drama series is a big break for me from watching these crime-related TV series. :)

Beating the Scorching Heat

It's already the rainy season months but sometimes, it feels extremely hot in the afternoon. I would always have to turn the AC in my room. I would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night errr afternoon because I sweat despite of having the AC on. I don't have fridge yet so I would always have to buy ice in a nearby store. Gosh, I really can't handle the scorching heat. It makes me want to wear Rayban Sunglasses. Hmmpp! I just don't feel the usual "coldness" that I feel during the rainy season. I wish that it would rain one of these days.

Tactical Pants

When I as in high school, I was the corp commander of our CAT Unit. Yep. I beat 200 male corps commander aspirants. To my mom's giddy, she bought me a couple of tactical pants and other paraphernalia that CAT officers ought to wear during gale night or any other function in the school. When I cherish my CAT stint, I can't help but be proud of myself (excuse the 'humblesness' LOL) because a petite girl, who barely stands 5 feet has prevailed over 250 something aspirants. I was so driven driven during my high years. It was truly one of the best chapter of my life.

I just received my billing statement for another card inspite of the fact that I still have a 'debit' balance. Attached in that mail are flyers that offers Vacation Loans. On one of the flyers, it offers zero interest for trips in Hongkong Disneyland and Bali Indonesia. The loan is payable in 24 months. I admit it was a very tempting offer but thank God. Russell is not here. Otherwise, I would have opted for that vacation loan offer.

The Rings that Bind

Getting married with the one you love could indeed be the happiest day of one’s life. When we got married, we were so proud that we were able to pull through our wedding on our wedding. We shouldered the wedding expenses even to the last cent. We didn’t bother any relatives in our wedding preparation. I guess, we just want to show our families that hubby and I are already grown ups and we are capable of taking care of ourselves. Thus, we are two responsible person who can start building our family.

Ironically though, I didn’t give so much attention about our wedding bands. It was hubby was tasked to look for our wedding bands. Initially, he was thinking of buying the rings in LA but I told him that we are going to save more if we will just buy it here. This is despite of the fact that I’ve been in Binondo area just for a couple of times and I didn’t know where exactly Ongpin was. I don’t know. Or maybe I was just afraid that the ring he would choose might not just fit my taste (though I already told him that I don’t like diamond rings, only white gold or platinum will do). Something is holding me back from purchasing the rings right away.

Thank God, I followed my instinct because my mother-in-law bought us our wedding bands. I was our wedding gift from her. It was just a simple wedding band I don’t like those rings with fancy designs though I wish we had one of those custom wedding bands to make our rings look even more personalized. Something similar to this one.

When I finally decided to get a domain of my own, I was really strucked with the problem on how I would get a web host or if, in the first palce, I should find a reseller web hosting service. Of course, getting a web host takes a lot of consideration before finally deciding which one you're gonna be settle for like the testimonial from its customers, the affordability and reliability of the service. For somebody like me who is not that expert when it comes to the quality of getting a web host, getting relevant information and tutorials about web hosting will help us a lot. It takes time though. But if learning on a slower pace until I can be savvy of the tricks of the trade means long term benefit, I would not hesitate to go into those kind of web hosting lessons.

If you have read my blog entries before, you must have noticed that I had ranted a few about office works and people in the office. Yesterday, I was "surprised" again to hear that a couple was caught "doing it" in our shower room. I am not sure though what is going to happen to this idiot couple? Hindi naman winter sa Pinas, bakit kelangan magpainit? Oh well, it must have been the poor aircontioning system in the office. Sobra kasi talagang lamig. Canadian and Brittons are even complaining na about it. But good Lord, can’t they just do it outside the office? They are earning well- enough to get themselves a room at Victoria court.

Another thing disgusting information, I heard from quite a number of people that used condoms are everywhere in the second floor parking area. Talaga naman oo. Init na init na ba talaga? Di naman siguro patay-gutom (sorry for the term) para walang pambayad ng pang check in sa motel. Arrrhhh!

Last na lang ito pramis. Yesterday, I almost had a hard attack when I entered one of the cubicles in our CR. Naknamputah! I thought somebody had a miscarriage na ng Makita ko ang bloke-blokeng dugo sa toilet bowl. As in ewwww!!!!! ANG BABOY! Mahirap ba mag flush?

Nakakaloka ang mga employees ng company ngayon. Walang urbanidad! Dati naman, walang ganyan. We would even clean our pantry ourselves. Di na hinihintay ang maintenance. Ngaun, nagkalat ang mga styro pack/foil na pinagkainan sa table. Feeling yata nila eh sa fastfood sila kumakain na lilinisin ng crew. Nakakaloka talaga. May note naman sa table na "CLEAN AS YOU GO." Di ko alam kung bobo lang na hindi nakaka intindi ng English (lol nagtrabaho pa sa call center) or may KATAMARAN lang ang mga gago.

Dapat yata, magkaroon din ng seminar about personal development and proper sanitation ang mga tao ditto. Kung sino pa mga new-hires, sya pang makakapal ang fez.

Preparing for Big Day

One of my QAS just got pregnant. She’s already two on the way. She’s not yet married though. Her wedding is set this July. She’s not yet married though. And that is another story. I try to lift her spirit up though by saying that the idea of having a nose lift or a lap-band surgery will now be shelved (good bye BAR exam too!). Kidding aside, looking good on her wedding will still depend on her. Though can't really go to the gym at this point, she can still stay sexy by eating healthy food like fruits and vegetables (ironically though, she's an all-meat person). That way, it's like hitting two birds with one stone. She'll stay fit while keeping her little peanut healthy too. Since I got married first, I'm gonna be helping her a lot with her wedding preparation. We only have 2 months to go so we re really have to fix things as fast as we could.

A Year from Now

A year from now, hubby, baby and I will be reunited. I am really not that giddy over moving to the land of Uncle Sam because of the fact that I am living my folkls behind. I want to be with them as much as possible. They are not getting any younger. That is why I have promised myself that I will do my best to have them visit and enjoy U.S. just like what they did when they visted Singapore and Japan. I have an aunt in San Diego but I am not that close to her. In fact, I haven't seen her in 9 years so I could barely remember her face. My sister-in-law is thinking of getting a land property after paying her car mortagage. Currently, she is renting an apartment which costs her P8,000 a month. At this amount of money, I told her she could have own a condo unit or a low-cost housing unti though PAG IBIG. Since my pregnancy, I have been having a hard time sleeping be it during night or day. Of course, I am not allowed to take any sleeping pills. Sometimes, I think this sleeping difficulty is due to bed bugs. I haven't researched any bed bugs pesticide. But in the very near future, I'll take time to look for it so that this sleeping issue can be resolved ASAP.

The laptop that hubby gave me is no longer in good condition. It is still working though but sometimes, I am just having a hard time looking at my screen. It seems that its LCD already has dead pixels. I am really tempted to buy myself a new laptop (I am drolling towards Mac Airbook) but I always keep in mind that there will be chunks of expenses when our little angels says "hello" to the world. I love Europe. Who doesn't love Europe anyway? But as of this time, I can only love them in pictures. I learned to love it even more when I saw KC Concepcion's tv special that showcased her lifestyle in Paris. Though she didn't stay in cheap hotels in Paris, fact that the cost of living there is enough to get me an electric shock (LOL), is enough to stop me hallucinating to be a tourist of the beautiful continent.

My sister in law's good friend, Jamie just got her UK tourist visa. She is planning to apply as a nurse in Manchester though (she is a registered RN and recently passed NCLEX and TOEFL so from tourist, she's hoping to get a working visa. Since she does not have any family in Manchester, she worries about how costly it is to rent an apartment right away. She is tediously searching the net for cheap hotels in Manchester. When I asked her, "Why not London? Isn't London the best city that represents the British culture?" she told me that those cheap hotels in London is not as cheap as the hotels in Birmingham. True enough enough, my good 'ol cyber friend Tita doritos (who beautifully sang A Little Tenderness during our wedding) has once complained to me about the high cost of living there. If he is going to convert it to our local currency, he will probably have a bypass operation. But who knows, maybe after 5 years of sponsored blogging, I have saved enough to go on a trip with hubby in Europe. Hahahaha! Wish!

Questionable Promotion?

Somebody got promoted in the office. Personally, I am no longer surprised about the news. Maybe because I have already embraced the fact that promotion in the office now is based on "Who you know" versus "What you can". A lot of people especially those who are in the the other department had nasty reactions. I just kept quiet. Wala naman ng magagawa na. I just thought that at the end of the day, this person's ass will be on the line and his/her ability will be put in question.

Selling "Turismo"

My brother is thinking of selling his '95 Mitsubishi Lancer. We call it "Turismo" because of its Grand Turismo sticker. He is thinking of getting a second-hand 2003 Vios model. At his age (he is 23), he still can't afford to buy a brand new car so his options are limited to just used cars.

For people our age (I mean those that have less than 5 years of working experience), it is really not practical to get a brand new car. Rather than buying a brand new car, investing on land properties is more economic-wise. It stands true especially for the fact that land appreciates as it gets older but it is inversely proportional to car/vehicle investments as the book value of the vehicle actually depreciates.

Currently, Russell and I are on the process of deciding whether to buy a second-hand car or not. AS I have mentioned, buying a brand new one is out of my league. I just can't afford it now. Besides, I am not sure if I'll be staying in the country in the next two years. Hubby is on the process of filing our papers so that the three of us could be finally together. Oh, I couldn't wait for that time to come. :)

A Simple Yet Meaningful Ceremony

I just came from a wedding held at patio Ibarra along Quezon Avenue. It was the one on the 2nd floor of a hot pot resutaurant where my family used to dine-in. I was not able to make it during the ceremony. It was a good thing that I came (just right on time) for dinner. LOL It wasn't as grand as the other weddings I have attended but I can feel the happiness of the couple. :)

"Tortured" Pants

On my way to work today, I saw a policeman (the one in-charge of traffic but definitely not an MMDA officer) with his worn out pants. I am not sure if pants of our policemen are being shouldered by the police department but I think that those pants have been in "action" for more than 5 years already. I think it's time for them to get BDU Pants instead.

Results of the exams I took for the manegerial tarining is already out. I got 96.38%. I was a bit suprised over the percentage that I got because I didn't really take the training seriously. I just watched a show in Discovery Channel where the state of Arizona showcased its huge coliseum intended for the NFL games. I don’t really have any particular nfl picks because first of all, I am not a fan of this game. In fact, I am more keen on what is going on with the NBA since I grew up watching the trio performance of Pipen, Rodman and Jordan. Hehehe. I know I sound cheesy. But really, after the Chicago's reign, I have also stopped being an NBA fanatic.

One of the brides from the yahoo support group where I used tobe active was asking about lasik treatment. Back then, I didn't really know what lasik is until I searched Wikipedia. A clock with no batteries

When I moved in my new apartment about two weeks ago, I hardly brought any household fixtures and appliances. Thanks to my in-laws for helping me move my things- the things that hubby and I received during the wedding. One of the things we received was a grand father clock (Thank God! We only recived one clock. Actually, we only got to receive one quantity per household appliance/fixture). Honestly, I am not fond of grandfather clocks as I really get scared out of it when I was still a child. I think I have brought that 'phobia' as I get old. The grand father clock that we received though has a contemporary design. It served as an added home decor. I don't have much idea about interior design so I am not really sure which type of wall clocks we're supposed to have. We just have a small sala area. My room, on th eother hand is small too and I don't think that a grand father clock fits that kind of small area. I just need a small desktop clock. Oh by the way, I keep on using the word "WE" despite of the fact that hubby is not here simply because I have a female housemate, who is also from Cavite. Going back to our clock- the gorgeous clock that I have placed in our sala still has no battery as of this time. Grr..it's been almost three weeks!

Loving Las Vegas

When my mother-in-law went to US for a Rotary International conference, one of their destination points is Las Vegas. Of course, a Las Vegas trip will not be complete without experiencing how it is like to live in a Las Vegas Hotel. I know that living in a hotel within the Sin City can be quite expensive that is why it is very important to find great Las Vegas Hotel Deal that will surely save tourists some money.

I have heard so much about Vegas Hotel especially when hubby visited the busy city for the first time. I even teased him that he didn’t sleep well on the hotel simply because his mind is preoccupied with those not-so-wholesome Vegas shows. LOL Based from what I see from CSI Las Vegas, living and working in the sin city is quite fascinating. Honestly, hubby and I are thinking of relocating from LA to Vegas because cost of living there is quite lower than in LA. Besides, we won’t have to drive that long when relatives visit from Manila to US. Personally, I want to go there for the very reason of playing the slot machine. I want to try my luck and win even at least a million dollar.
